Beef

 Devon cows were the first cattle on Asgaard Farm.  These cows originally arrived in America with the Pilgrims and were a mainstay of family farms for generations, providing traction, milk, and meat. This breed of cow was never introduced to grain feeding. While we've been focusing on building a genetically superior herd for years, we will produce premium grass fed and finished beef on Asgaard's certified organic pastures for the first time in the fall of 2010.  Contact us if you're interested in a quarter or half beef.

We have also introduced Red Angus and Herefords to our herd, and we plan to cross-breed these cows to our Devons. Their characteristics will combine to produces top quality 100% grass-fed/grass-finished (yet still marbled) beef.
